Hey,
I’m thinking about doing something from home..
Not sure what, but I would love to hear what other people do from home to make money…
I learn things quickly
please help
I love giving points!
I would just add one skill/skilled trade to sphinxters list. Web Design!
Web design can be a self learned trade that can be done from the comfort of the home.
BEST WISHES!

I’d recommend looking into something such as an affiliate program (like Kasamba Affiliate Program, who’s website is https://www.kasamba.com/Affiliates/Login.aspx) or google’s Adsense program (www.google.com/adsense). Both are good ways to get started in earning some money online from home (there are many other affiliate type programs out there as well). I’d also recommend learning html (if you dont already know it) and try your hand at a website or two, which are also great once you know what you’re doing with them (I dont know any websites for advice on running a website off the top of my head, sry
). Hope this helps!

Not knowing your skills, hard to say…. but I’ll try some general:
1. Carpentry / Furniture making.
2. Building models (If you are into that… My ex f-i-l builds radio control airplanes at about $1500 a pop)
3. Internet sales (Your own site)
4. Life insurance sales
5. E-bay (I have known several people who go to garage sales at 6:00 am, get the good stuff, and resell on e-bay… as a business).
6. Writer (If you have connections)
7. Stringer (Freelance photographer…connections)
8. Day care (If you license / meet health codes)
9. Hair salon (If you license / meet health codes)
10. Making cakes, cookies, other edibles (If you license / meet health codes)
11. Dog walker / care (In big cities)
12. Music lessons (If you have the skill)
13. Avon (My ex-wife used to clear about $1000 / month)
14. Handyman / fixit shop
15. Locksmith… From your home / garage (License usually required)
16. Bounty Hunter (Can’t run from the Dog…. Believe you need a license)
17. Knife sharpener (Most big cities have people who operate this business from home… Visit local restaurants on a "route" of sorts)
18. Bookie (no moral or legal advice)
19. Manufacturer’s rep (You are an independent sales person… you get a commission…Not necessarily water filters, vacuums, cutlery, or magazines. Could be radio advertising, industrial sales, etc.).
20. Travel agent (small-scale)
21. Mechanic (Depends on where you live… Small town / rural area, probably no problems with codes / neighbors)
22. Stock broker / investor (Careful on this one… You need a clientele… not to mention one / multiple licenses.)
23. Real estate sales (Licenses, bad market now)
24. Mortgage broker (licenses and bad market)
There’s more, but, again, you can see a pattern here… Sales / services. Steer away from the stuffing envelopes gigs.
