Cutler asks for trade, Broncos GM says "No, and you better report on Monday"?

Cutler got owned. He must feel like a little kid in class who has just been told to stand in the corner with a dunce cap on.

Monday is optional, has everyone in Denver lost their minds. I once respected Bolin and his organization but now he has proven to be another clueless owner reaching for the stars.

They already TRIED to trade him… And after the trade fell through, they tried to smooth things over by saying they wanted him as their starting QB… He’s still pissed they tried to trade him though…

The thing that I don’t get is that this whole flop started because the Broncos rumored to trade him. "How dare you threaten to trade me, you had better trade me now to make up for it." I dare say with that sort of attitude they really have no choice but to treat him like a small child.

Edit: Wow, that is a lot of thumbs down. For what it is worth I will keep talking.

I was merely trying to point out the illogic of demanding a trade because they threatened to trade you. "How dare you threaten to do that to me, I now insist that you do what you threatened."

And for those wondering my take, of course this story is blown way out of proportion. This is the biggest story in the NFL right now because it is the only story in the NFL right now. Makes me wish I didnt hate watching basketball.

I think the Broncos organization is to blame for all of this. I do not think Cutler is a crybaby.

Good. That’s what the Broncos are supposed to do. DISCIPLINE HIM like the child he’s acting like. Not screw themselves by trading him. He will eventually smarten up and learn what the NFL is about.

EDIT: I’m gonna add that Cutler was angry since he was lied to. He has every right to. I know I would be. McDaniels confessed however. Also, he talked like a coach instead of a best friend because he was trying to do what was best for the team. Get a guy who already knew his system. That’s part of the business. Jay shouldn’t need to drag things out any further. Instead, he stays pissed and requests a trade. In my eyes, this makes him a crybaby. I love Jay Cutler, but its the truth. Both sides have a point and both sides screwed up. So why not get drunk tomorrow night, bury the hatchet, and focus on winning?

cutler is such a cry baby and needs to man up. ok, his feelings got hurt but its not the head coach’s job to make him feel better. its the quarterback thats supossed to make the coach better. mcdaniels is doing what he thinks for whats best for the team

Actually, the Broncos GM screwed his franchise when he played Cutler in the trade game earlier in the offseason. I don’t know much about running a sports franchise, but even I’m not stupid enough to do something like that with my franchise quarterback. The Broncos will suck this year, and jay Cutler will make sure of that.

The off-season workouts on Monday are not mandatory so Cutler doesn’t necessarily have to show up. The only incentive he has to going to these workouts would be that he gets $100,000 for just showing up. I’m not sure how anyone can call him a cry baby. Mcdaniels came in and told Cutler that he would be the starter and would be the future of the Broncos. Then he tosses him aside when Cassel becomes available. If I was Cutler, I would be pissed too and certainly would not want to play for a coach who does not have faith in me. The Broncos screwed this one.

Also, Cutler did not get owned because he currently holds all of the cards. He can refuse to play and who are the Broncos going to sign? Jeff Garcia? No one on the free agent market matches up to Cutler at all. Or the Broncos trade Cutler, release him, whatever, and he gets to go play for a team that actually wants him. Right now, the Broncos management has gotten owned. They lost out on Cassel and now they’re going to lose Cutler too. If they do trade Cutler, you better believe he’ll only be worth a late 1st rounder or an early 2nd rounder. After all, that’s all the Pats got for Cassel and we all know the Broncos think Cassel is better than Cutler.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Cutler wearing green and white next year. He’d be a huge acquisition for the Jets.
