Money, Banking and the Federal Reserve

March 5, 2010 - 8:27 pm 25 Comments

Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson understood “The Monster”. But to most Americans today, Federal Reserve is just a name on the dollar bill. They have no idea of what the central bank does to the economy, or to their own economic lives; of how and why it was founded and operates; or of the sound money and banking that could end the statism, inflation, and business cycles that the Fed generates.

Dedicated to Murray N. Rothbard, steeped in American history and Austrian economics, and featuring Ron Paul, Joseph Salerno, Hans Hoppe, and Lew Rockwell, this extraordinary new film is the clearest, most compelling explanation ever offered of the Fed, and why curbing it must be our first priority.

Alan Greenspan is not, we’re told, happy about this 42-minute blockbuster. Watch it, and you’ll understand why. This is economics and history as they are meant to be: fascinating, informative, and motivating. This movie could change America.

Essentially, they protect American consumers from fraudulent advertising practices

Should I report payday loan company to the federal trade commissions?

February 7, 2010 - 4:46 pm 3 Comments

I made the mistake of taking out several loans that I cannot paid. I faxed letters stating that they can only contact me though mail, fax, or email. The two Payday loan companies I have not had a problem with but Ameriloan keeps calling me. They agreed to settle my account, which was fine, but refuse to put it in writing. I told them I have to have it in writing and they said they don’t do that. They call 1 every 3 days and also text message me. I told them, well if you don’t send me a written notice that debt is paid in full, then I’m not paying you. I think that’s fair, after all, I need proof that its paid in full. Should I report them for keep calling me.

You are correct for insisting that the terms are in writing….However, it is still within their right to call/contact you…This is not a violation of the law.
