PiP was the brain child of second in command at Westminster Council Alastair Gilchrist and Councillor Danny Chalkley.

PiP asked other Local Authorities to join PiP them use Verrus, again without any need to tender. So what of the other Pay-by-phone companies in the UK and Europe, they wouldn’t get a look in until at least 2015. This is in clear violation of EU directives, hence the EU complaint, it’s also monopalistic and anti competition hence the Office of Fair Trade investigation who are also having a hard look at PiP.

I started a job a few weeks ago in a call centre through an employment agency and it has been non-stop cock ups since then. First, I specifically asked at the interview if they position I was applying for involved any sales and they said no it was purely customer service and then it turns out that the job is a target driven sales environment. Secondly, they keep messing up my wages by paying me the wrong hourly rate. I confirmed the rate at the time with both the agency and the company and they both confirmed it was £6.90 but now they are saying that it is actually £6.60. Unfortunately, I do not have any written evidence of any of this but I am not at all happy. Given that I don’t have any evidence of these slights can I still make a complaint and if so, who do I make the complaint to? Trading Standards?

HTC Corp. filed a complaint with the International Trade Commission Wednesday to halt Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) imports and sales of its iPad, iPhone and iPod products in the U.S.

Vice president of Taiwan-based HTC, Jason Mackenzie, said, “We are taking this action against Apple to protect our intellectual property, our industry partners, and most importantly our customers that use HTC phones.”

HTC also claimed that the Windows Mobile PocketPC Phone Edition was introduced by the company in 2002, as well as the Android smartphone in 2008.

In March of this year, Apple filed a similar suit again HTC.

Shares of Apple are trading up 2.03% at $261.30.

Chipewyan Prairie Dene First Nation filed a lawsuit against the government of Alberta on June 4, 2008. They filed this lawsuit because of the Alberta government’s failure to consult with them regarding an oilsands development project 3km from their reserve, which will impact their fishing rights and overall way of life.

Hi there, I have a complaint in regard to an American business, and want to take the matter further as I am getting nowhere with them. In Australia we have ombudsmen and the Office of fair trading. I’m not sure who to contact in America. Thanks so much for any help or advice.

In most states there are consumer protection laws and most often they are enforced by the state Attorney General. So you may want to check the web site for the state involved, or check to see if they have a Consumer Affairs Department in the state, here’s one:
